Dr. Luis Lovato and Dr. Breena Taira of FriendsNE Project SEMILLA coach two medical students from UNAN Managua on resuscitation. Along with Dr. Aislinn Black, Michael Cipoletti, others, Project SEMILLA is developing a fully accessible curriculum for replicable first aid trainings. This project, along with the qualitative study UCLA Blum Summer Scholars Ana Mascareñas and Erik Peña are collaborating on, are part of a large effort to improve emergency capacity in the region.
